I started painting in 1999 because I wanted something cool and meaningful for my wall. Twenty+ years later I have a body of work that spans a large part of my life and tells a part of my story. These pieces are a result of time spent experiencing art and the art world, experimenting with my own art, and just trying to live my best life. Creating is central to this.
Creating and communicating are two important life practices, and I am putting my work out here to share with you some of who I am, and to connect with you through art.
Let me know if you are looking for something cool and meaningful for your wall, or just to connect. [email protected]

Selected Influences
Vincent Van Gogh - I believe he was communicating the only things that matters - his love of life on his terms.
Pablo Picasso - his work said "this is it!", and that was that.
Tom Thomson - I have spent a lot of time canoeing the lakes where he painted.
Jean Michel Basquiat - his story sums up so much of what is wonderful and terrible about art and the art world.
Cy Twombly - scribbles! Joy and freedom.
I am also interested and increasingly informed by the work of women, LGBTQ+, non-white, non-Western, non-Establishment artists, and other people with a different perspective and story from my own. I am a forty-x year old Canadian white dude, and actively working to be and promote a better way.
